Brother Augustus C. Everett was initiated on October 28, 1976, passed to the degree of a Fellow Craft on November 10, 1976 and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on December 8, 1976. He was Master of Enterprise Lodge 752 in 1988 and Master of St John’s lodge 1 in 2006.

He continued his Masonic Career by receiving his fourteenth degree and became a Knight of Perfect Elu on March 15, 1977. He was made a Knight of Rose Croix in the eighteenth degree on March 16, 1977. He was made a  Knight Kadosh in the thirty degree on March17,1977 and  became Master of the Royal Secret by receiving his thirty second degree on March 17, 1977. He was elected and invested a Knight Commander Court of Honor on November 22, 2003 and he received his Thirty Third Degree conferral at Supreme Council in Washington DC on August 28, 2007, attaining the rank and dignity of Inspector General Honorary.

Illustrious Brother Everett, 33° was appointed General Secretary of the Scottish Rite Valley of Wilmington, by the Sovereign Grand Inspector General of the Orient of North Carolina, Illustrious William B. Brunk, 33° on April 24, 2006.
